In accordance with the updated (TCA 49-6-60) law, Tennessee students will be allowed up to 20% additional testing time to complete an assessment if requested. TCAP testing begins next week for many of our students. Please help our students do their best by not scheduling appointments during the school day to allow for students to be present for the test. Take a look at other ways you can help support your child. #MilanLife

The single most important thing we can do is support families all year long in ways that promote and build upon their strengths and enable them to care for their children safely before maltreatment is even a possibility. #ChildAbusePreventionMonth #ThrivingFamilies https://www.childwelfare.gov/topics/preventing/preventionmonth/resources/

National School Librarian Day is observed internationally on April 4. School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized. They encourage students to pursue reading outside of academic texts. School librarians are also responsible for creating an environment where students are motivated to learn. We appreciate our wonderful librarians in MSSD. Thank you all you do for our students! #MilanLife

Buses will not run on Gann Road north of Harris Small Engine today due to flooding.

Milan Schools will proceed as planned on a two hour delay. For example, if drop off time is normally 7:30 then it now becomes 9:30. The buses are running and the drivers will use discretion if an area or road is not passable. The weather is scheduled to move out this afternoon so dismissal should not be impacted.
